Would you like to start learning new language? Do you hesitate which one should you choose? Here, I’ll show you why taking Spanish is such a great option.
+ It’s the 5th most used language in the world - after English, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi and Arabic. And the 2nd language in the number of native speakers. If you’re not going to India, nor Africa, Spanish would be the most useful one.
+ Spanish is the official language in 21 countries. It has 400 millions of native speakers. You can communicate with almost 500 millions people all over the world.
+ In Europe Spanish is not so popular but in the US it really is. I venture to suggest that it’s even the second language there. It’s also one of the official American languages, very useful because almost 16% of the US population are native Spanish-speakers.
+ Almost all South America speaks Spanish. It’s one huge continent, mind it. And so adorable one, even though relatively poor.
+ It’s also very agreeable-sounding language. Resonant and melodious. Even though accent differs much from English, once you know it, you should love it.
+ It is said that Spanish is one of the easiest languages. I can’t agree that it’s so non-problematic. Basics are pretty simple but more advanced things are kind of tough. Still, every language is difficult. Some are more, some less but getting to know any is a hard work to do.
+ Spanish culture, literature, cinema are widely evolved because of so many speakers. Exploring these things in their original language is much more developing experience.
+ Spanish people in Spain (at least) in general don’t know English too well. Learning it will make you able to meet and become acquainted with them. Forging new friendships around the world is a great experience.
Learning Spanish has loads of advantages even not mentioned here. Once you start it, you would probably love it. I am really glad that I started it (by a chance, actually) and that after these 3 years I know it on a basic level. Satisfaction of reading and speaking it is really huge.
