ooh, so adorable morning view
Today I’d like to present you one of my favorite bands. Well, Buena Vista Social Club is not exactly band, it’s rather a group of best Cuban musicians, their project.
The Buena Vista Social Club (Good View Social Club) was originally a club in Havana popular during the 1940s. Filled with composers and dancers was an essence of the specific Cuban style and climate. In the 1990s Cuban musician Juan de Marcos González and American guitarist Ry Cooder, inspired by the history of the club, set up a project with best Cuban artists, some that also performed in the cult place.
That explains why the people who take a part in the project are definitely not young. Even though they are rather the group of elders (amazingly enchanting), they have great passion for the music and show us how out of the ordinary Cuban music is. That it is full of enjoyable, dancing salsa rhythms but also that it is filled with history and culture of this unique place.
I also recommend a movie about the group named the same. It’s totally adorable.

El Carretero tastes like pure Havana. My favorite one.

Ernesto “Che” Guevara - mostly known for being the leader of Cuban revolution, originally from Argentina where he lived and achieved profession of doctor. While touring South America he was a witness of poverty and injustice in poor Latin countries. As a strong, young and idealistic person didn’t want to let it stay this horrible way. He met members of communistic party and started being interested in their ideology. He even wrote “The motorcycle diaries” that treated of his journey and thoughts. Nowadays we can also watch a movie of the same title showing his adventure.
Che with 77 other guys (including Fidel Castro) set out to Cuba in 1956. Only 22 of them survived, the rest was killed by Batista’s military. They invaded his government and won setting communism in the country. Fidel Castro became Prime Minister - the leader and many things changed. Ernesto after very short time became disappointed in the regime and left Cuba, went to Congo.
His person is very controversial one. Some said he was a great person, a national hero as he is nowadays shown by Cuban government, that he saved this country from Batista’s bad regime. The others that he was a murderer, comparable with Stalin or Hitler. That he killed many innocent people, was cruel, didn’t know what is mercy and was a beast. Which side is right?
How to resolve this dispute? Is there an unequivocal answer? Probably not. There are 2 different versions of many events. Some say that he was afraid of death and said, right before the CIA officers were to kill him, something like:”I’m Che Guevara, I value more alive than dead”. The others claim that his last worlds were “Come on, you’re only gonna kill a man”. (These are not accurate quotes but only my interpretations.)
This is really complex problem, especially for the divided Cubans. For some of them he is a national legend, for some a traitor. When being in Cuba I get a feeling of his bravery and valor. We heard of one Cuban on vacations in our hotel that he was also on Jamaica and wouldn’t like his country to be capitalistic. (Huge, GIANT poverty there is frightful. In Cuba everybody lives decently, not rich, but not starving, too.) Stalin was Russian idol but he killed foreigners while Che is said to have killed Cubans. If not they, then who should know the best? If not Che, Cuba would have been just one of colorful Caribbean American island, now going there is like moving past in time. So adorable architecture even though devastated by passing time. So lovely people, so unique atmosphere, so amazing music - both cheerful and sorrowful.
And what is your opinion about this? How can you prove it?

Hello!
Today I’d like to present you one special and magical place which i have fallen in love with long time ago. It is situated on one of the Canary Islands (Spanish ones), Tenerife.
Tenerife is renowned for its rocky scenery and the highest mountain (and at the same time still active volcano) El Teide. Flora is really plain, everything that grows there doesn’t need too much water. Lizard is the symbol of the island, there are LOADS of them living there.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the capital, other important and popular cities are Puerto de la Cruz, Los Gigantes, Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. All of them are coastal cities, it shows how important role leads the tourism in the economy of the island.
But, these cities are not the most breath-taking places I’ve seen, oh no. Definitely, the most exquisite beach for me was the one which is one of the hardest to get to. It’s called Playa de la Masca and is not a commercial place available for everyone.
Reaching it is so tough because of its location. It is surrounded by high and steep cliffs overgrown by tropical plants. As you can see in the link, there are only few ways to get there:

Trekking or taking boat are the best possibilities - i took the second one, the boat touring from Los Gigantes to watch dolphines. The beach is widely enjoyed by sailors because of the mentioned conditions.
What’s the most important, the place is wild and pure. It’s very quiet there, black sand sparkles in the sun gleams, crystal clear water is waiting for you. It’s ideal place for relaxing and chilling out away from bustling cities with masses of tourists. You can have your own remote land just for yourself and these few people with you. It’s unforgettable experience, I recommend this place to every special-places-seeker.
Unfortunately, I don’t have too much photos of this place. Here you have a link about this place, even Google doesn’t says too much about it:

The best places are the ones hidden deep inside.
Time to relive this blog! The idea didn’t come out of me but actually I’m glad of it. As starting again, I’d like to present it clearly - it is a tumblr about Spanish language, culture and travelling itself. It helps me learning and gives me a hand when I’m in need.
